Due to its closeness to the Aegean Sea the city has developed a micro-climate of sorts. This causes it to have a lower humidity then most of the rest of the country, making it a wonderful place for people who suffer from afflictions such as asthma and arthritis. This is definitely a wonderful place to go if you need a healthy, warm place to live. It was recently recommended by the World Health Organization as a great place to go.
